She has experience working with a variety of clients.  Her main focus is on relationship growth areas including loveless marriages, affairs, in-law issues, high conflict couples, communication issues, and post marital transitions.

Julie has helped a variety of adults, couples, and families with:

  • Couples seeking premarital counseling;

  • Couples working to strengthen intimacy and improve their bond;

  • Couples and families struggling with conflict, communication issues, and life transitions;

  • Those who have experienced trauma such as childhood abuse, neglect, and family violence.

  • Those managing life transitions such as job changes, relationship issues, parenthood, and child behavior concerns.

Prior to becoming a counselor, Julie was a wedding planner and saw many couples get married that did not yet have the skills to make a marriage work.  She made it her mission to help couples in marriages build skills to make the marriage successful. Through that work she found those transitioning out of marriage were faced with feelings of vulnerability about the unknown future.  Julie has helped many people going through divorce and other traumas rebuild their identity and become happier as they let go of the familiar past and grow in their new life and identity. Julie completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Webster University.

"I have found that most people come to counseling to be happier in their lives and relationships.  It is my goal, as your counselor, to help you figure out what barriers are between you and that feeling."

Julie has the knowledge and experience in a variety of therapies, which she draws upon to best meet the needs of each client. Combining these with mindfulness and trauma-informed techniques, she works to create a therapy experience specific to you and your goals.
